What do they use in movies to simulate marijuana?

you know, in movies like "Grandma's Boy" and "Half Baked"?

OK, I don't mean what they use to simulate the appearance of marijuana. What I mean is they show people taking huge hits from "joints" and then expelling huge amounts of smoke. What do they use to create all that smoke? Surely not tobacco.

i think they just use regular tobaco in most films
i know in tenacious d and the pick of destiny they used real marijuana

if they show it in movies it is just some wrapped up tissue

or it is just smoke
