GM made it standard on all of their vehicles to have at least a heating system at that time, but the A/C was optional. If they are missing it is because some one wanted some more horse power and really didn't want to mess with a conversion kit to remove the A/C and smog system. Not only that the A/C was charged with R12 which is now very expensive and you have to purchase a conversion kit to swap over to R134a. It was sometimes costly for that conversion so they mostly remove it and tried to plug everything off. Check on line for some Corvette clubs they usually have a lot more details and have good references for parts and up grades.

My dad has a '72, and I know that it has heat and air conditioning, so it probably has defrost, too. (Also, power windows! Whee!)

Of course, it is a convertible, so it might be different if you're looking at a T top or a regular one.

by 1976 all corvettes had these as standard as well as a/t, p/s, p/b,and pms. just what you would expect for a secretary's car from G.M.
