I quote "God is love" every day!
There are so many awesome quotes, that I love, that I could give a different answer every day!
A tie breaker is which quote do you repeat most often, even if the source is not a famous revered thinker.
I love to quote: "Kindness is in our power, even when fondness is not." -- Samuel Jackson
My own version (used more often) is "Love is an action, not a mushy feeling" -- Michael Pilecki
Another tie breaker is who deserves to have His words memorized. That, for me, is Jesus.
John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.“
An Old Testament alternative is: Isaiah 41:10 "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand".
My favourite Peter Principal is "Nothing is impossible to a man who doesn't have to do it himself".
I think of bosses when I say that.
It also applies to men who wear breezy white clothes in the hot desert sun ordering women to cover themselves in heat retaining black!

Hi!The question seems very simple, but the answer will illustrate my point of view of life, so I have to think about seriously. In my country there are quotes for almost everything but it will be veeery difficult for me to translate them in English (they are connected with our everyday lives and that's why the interpretations are different). However, these are some of my favorite quotes which have figurative meanings:
1.If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
2.My tastes are simple- I'm always satisfied with the best . (Oscar Wilde)
3.Maybe life is a song, but you're scared to sing alone.
4.Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when s.o. annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and *****-slap that mother@#?!&! upside the head. (well, this is not the most peace-loving quote, but I like it :))
5.Do something memorable.
It is my first answer and I really hope you will like it!!!!!!!!!:)

The definition of success
To laugh much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition.; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--this is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

and
“The enemy might be tough enough to die for an all mighty immortal, perfect god, but my seals are more than willing to die for the simple, mortal, imperfect man next to them. An for that reason alone, im willing to follow my men into the depths of hell.”
