(ANS) Who? says cannabis is under control, thats completely untrue. If anything it is more out of control than it ever was.
Secondly, the really scary part of the current cannabis problem is that the cannabis that is available today has about x10 the strength or active ingredient in it. In contrast to the simple cannabis resin that was available in the 60's, 70's, early 80's. Now Skunk seems to be the main form of cannabis, and skunk is FAR more powerful & can have some nasty side effects in some people. Skunk is so powerful it can & does cause hallucinations which the cannabis resin from Afghanistan or Lebanon never did.
**The only way to control drug taking & drug problems is for the government to take control of both supply & production. In the same way as alcohol. If this was done then at least the purity of the cannabis could be assured and the distribution would be more carefully controlled. This would cut out the criminal elements of dealing & distribution and could even be taxed (like smoking) and so bring in extra funds to the treasury which could be used for helping people with drug problems (to help them quit their habit).
**Prosecution only has a limited role to play in curbing & controlling the drugs market. Prosecution hasn't been that successful over the decades as far as I can see. Yes! the middle men & big boys should be tackled & prosecuted, because class A drugs cause such damage to individual lives, to individual people, to families & to communities. Drugs are a deep seated problem in this country and around the world in a way they never used to be when I was a small kid. Now the UK is literally awash with drugs which is scary & very sad in my opinion. Its a VERY complex and difficult problem and one thats going to take many more decades to resolve.

Oh my God one must be able to do something! This situation is getting out of hand. Cannibals are trying to take over this country. I say prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, as far as the law will extend! Someone do a lapdance for the law so that it will extend further!

I am glad I do not live in your neighborhood if cannibals were ever an issue.
Just move on; if someone has resorted to eating another person then a little jail time is hardly going to rattle him.
