I have a doggie and a cat, so I feel like I know what I am talking about here! LOL YES! I think animals do dream! Have you ever heard a dog growl and bark in its sleep? My cat even moves her front paws like she is walking an swings her tail around like she is playing! At times, she even starts to purr in her sleep, but never for long. Hope that I have helped a bit! Yes, in fact, ONLY animals can dream. Plants, Fungi, and Protists completely lack the neurological structures needed for dreaming.

Only the smartest of animals dream. Dogs, cats, and even rats dream. Oddly enough, mice don't dream, even though rats do.

Well, we don't know. The reason for that is because animals can't talk, and therfor can't tell us if they dream or not. We know humans do because we keep teling each other about what dreams we had. If we didn't talk, we couldn't know if other people dream or not.

I believe so. Sometimes I see signs of REM sleep in my cat which stands for rapid eye movement. When you are in this state you are more likey to dream since it is a deep form of sleep. I see my cat flinch and move in her sleep as if dreaming.

studies have shown based on brain activity of animals while they sleep that yes they dream

yes,all animals dream but they don.t dream to that extent that we do.they only dream when they are thinking of that particular thing
