I play a Night Elf hunter, currently level 10. I'm using the taming rod, given to me by the hunter trainer, to tame an animal. I have tried many times clicking on the target and clicking the taming rod icon, but nothing seems to work. The animal approaches me and then I'm forced to attack, so I can't tame it anymore. Might this be a glitch or am I doing something wrong here??

Stand still, press the Esc button to cancel anything your doing, then use the taming rod. Dont make any action (No moving, attacking etc.) until the taming rod is finished
Sometimes an enemy will have a interupt attack but I don't think any of the taming rod questline mobs do. Good luck!

There is a quest for this and at the time you're only allowed to Tame what the quest says. Ending with a question is are you taming the right animal for the quest?

okay attack it then right click on the taming rod because u have to have its attention just keep on taming it while it attacks

let's see if i recall target animal click the rod and don't attack it the cast bar will go thru and ya should be good
