What does the letter say? By 'Appointment' do you mean being appointed to a job, or that you are being asked to go in and see someone?

Have a look at the address details, and find out if there's an office at that site. Go to their website and check the details.

If in doubt, ring the telephone number at the top, and talk to them. Give them the reference number at the top of the letter.

If you're in any doubt at all, don't go. If you haven't asked for this appointment, what have you got to lose by missing it?

I had this same question asked of me from a relative in India. The copy of the appointment letter was sent to me and looked very professional, yet if it came from a business organisation, the email that the business sent seemed highly dubious.

So I looked up CAMAC international, called their London office, and asked for the person who signed off the email, who was supposed to be the HR director. The person at CAMAC London said there was no such person working for the company.

Also, the number in the email is not the same as that on the web site - in fact, it is a premium rate number, which should be avoided.

So my brief research seems to confirm that this is a scam, and should be avoided, especially as the screening was done purely on the basis of email and no discussion or interview even took place!

When did you apply for the job?

If you did not it is a scam.

For this advice there is no charge but I would appreciate the details of your credit/debit cards and your bank account(s) because I need your money.
