McDonald's provides a product and service that people want, at a price that they are willing to pay. They are able to do so and make a profit. What gives you the right to say that because YOU do not like a business (that obviously is well liked by enough people that it is profitable) if should be closed?

If you do not like McDonald's you are well within your rights not to eat there! You are not within your rights to infringe on others choices!!

If you think there is a demand for healthy food, spend your money and open up a restaurant of your own. If you offer a product that people want more than they want the product McDonald's offers, you can take the money away from them in the free market! If you can not compete in a free and open market, understand that people have chosen to patronize McDonald's and you should quit trying to control them!!!

Well, my answer is no.

If you wanna close down McDonalds for health reasons, then might as well close down the rest of the fast food chains like Burger King, Long John Silvers, KFC, Mos Burger, A&W etc. The thing is, it is not the fast food tt is causing obesity but rather ppl not showing self-restraint among other factors like not exercising enuff and eating less greens.

McDonalds is a big corporation. It provides millions with jobs and gives a lot to charity too. Anyway, they have a "healthy" menu now, with their salads and what-not. Besides, it's not all abt the burgers. I would choose their McCafe over Starbucks anytime. =)

No. It is one of 30 companies whose stock is tracked under the Dow Jones Industrial average. This stock market index lets investors know how the market is doing day to day.

There are also people who earn money working at McDonalds. McDonalds also donates millions of dollars to charity.

It would not be fair to close down McDonalds. There are few places in the world where you can come up with an idea, then watch it grow.

If people choose not to eat there, and business gets slower and slower, McDonalds could go out of business. That would be fair. However, like any business, it should have the freedom to adapt and to listen to customers and make the necessary adjustments in order to survive as a business.

Shutting down a business could occur if something illegal is going on. Or, if they get sued, they could run out of money and go out of business.

So, again, the answer is no, but it is up to McDonalds to survive as a business and this would involve people who choose to spend money there.

Why would they close it down? If you don't want to eat there DON'T!

Some people like it and that is there choice, this is America we have the freedom to eat bad food if we want to.

p.s McDonald's does not make people fat. Lack of self control makes people fat.

Absolutely. I dream of the day McDonalds finally shuts down. It would be incredibly awesome. Those animal murdering, environment destroying, low wage paying, ill health causing jerks! Anything for profit, eh? McDonalds makes me sick!

Why McDonalds? Because of the unhealthy food they sell? They are only one out of dozens of chains that sell that food.

By the way, Printer, you said they made you fat. How? It's YOUR choice to eat there too often. McDonald's didn't force you to eat their food.
