On the p35 motherboards, there are 4 slots: 1,2,3, and 4. I know on my old motherboard, when I wanted to do dual channel I had to set my ram either 1,3, or 2,4. Is it still the same now? So, with 4 ram sticks, would I do 1,3 and 2,4? Thanks.

Still the same set up. But newer Intel chipsets have Flex Memory technology that allows RAM of different sizes to run in dual channel mode.

well i would advice you to buy a large ram or if you can change it to a large one from where you purchased it, and it does not matter where you put the ram just make sure it inserted correcctly
thanks
