I think that all people are beautiful, no matter what their skin color. A person should be proud of their actions, and feel accomplished in how much good they have done in the world. It is counterproductive to take pride in the circumstances of a person's birth. I am proud of the way that I live.

According to the Discovery Channel there really is no such thing as race. Underneath the skin we are all just members of the human race. The adaptations of our ancestors are not really anything to be proud or ashamed of. I believe that we are responsible for our own actions. Way too many people use "race" as an excuse for everything in life that doesn't go there way. Racism is a very effective way to divide the masses so that we don't unite and demand basic human rights for everyone.

But of course, it's not like it can be changed. People are raised to be proud of who and what they are and their ancestors as well.
My father is jewish, my mother is italian and native american. How can I not be proud of that. But when it comes to questions like 'What race are you?' I tell them 'I'm human, what other race is there?'. I prefer being asked what culture I am instead or like how you put it genetic make up.

Very proud! I'm proud to have no claim to one specific race. I hate being put in a "category". I'm very proud to be a big mixture of various races... I feel lucky!

No. It's not that I'm ashamed either. It's just that I'd rather take pride in actual accomplishments than something that is basically an accident of birth.

I don't know that I'd say I'm proud... I guess I just see it as, I am who I am.
By the way, I'm a mix of Irish/Norwegian and maybe some German.

Yes. I'm Indian, and Romani Gypsy. When I was a child I learned to hate the white man, and how to tell fortunes with a deck of playing cards.
