Mavs - Spurs
Why? Spurs and Suns isn't exactly considered a rivalry as the Suns hadn't beaten the Spurs in the playoffs where it counts - even though I think the suspensions last year were unfair they're still unable to beat them.
Why not Mavs and Suns? Because these two teams haven't won a championship yet. They don't have anything to brag.
Why Spurs and Mavs? First off, Spurs are the champions, a dynasty. But for some reason, that dynasty ALWAYS has trouble with the Mavs. There is no one in the Spurs that's a "Dirk-stopper". Avery Johnson was a student, and a player under Gregg Popovich. Michael Finley was a long-time resident of Dallas until he was kicked out by Cuban and sent to San Antonio.
Plus that 7-game series in 2006 was hella a lot competitive than last year's Spurs-Cavs matchups. That's why.

As a Phoenix resident, I don't really feel the rivalry. We just know that they will be tough games because recently, the Mavs and Spurs have been the only competition in the West for the Suns. I say Mavs vs. Spurs is a better rivalry.

After watching last years playoffs between the Spurs and Suns. I would have to say Spurs vs Suns all the way.

Mavs and Spurs --- This a better rivaly becasue firstly they belong to the same division and they have to fight for the divisonal leadership, second Mavs have to beat the Spurs because if they do the Suns and the rest of the Western conference is also beatable.

Better rivalry? You mean has a good match-up,not a miss match and friendly rivalry? or you meant better rivalry with a little grudge on the side? If you meant the 1st question, I'd say MAVS vs. SUNS. For the 2nd one, MAVS vs. SPURS

I say Suns and Mavs because Nash use to play for the Mavs. Also both teams have great players.
