Did you have imaginary friends when you were kid?

I did, and I believe I really "saw" them, too bad the adults didn't believe me when I told them I saw things, after while I realized that they couldn't see....every time I talked to a corner my mom got freaked.

But with me grew up, they started vanished, eventually I couldn't see them just like adults do, it was around 7 or 8 years old.

Why do children have imaginary friends?

seems like not every child has imaginary friend..lol, you know in Asia, people believe children 4 could see ghosts that adults can't see....

to La Fleur Power: you get one point, I'm only child and the youngest number in my community, I got no friends to play with.

looks like I'm minority.0.0....when I look back, it gives me chills too....

I believe you cuz I keep dreaming of a lady in this long red dress with freakin' long fingernails in my dreams tryin' to get me! And I still see faces of her everywhere!!!!! Which is freaky!!!! And my mom says I cry alot for nothing!!!!! freaky......

Children have imaginary friends because they're shy to talk to real people so they develop an imaginary friend that only they can see... OR its that they're lonely and other people don't want to talk to them because they're stupid, nerdy, or uncool I guess...but I think they're all awesome

I didn't have imaginary friends. I had stuffed animals that i treated like they were alive. I would talk to them all the time, but obviously they never answered back. I think that many times it is wishing for something that kids don't have. It can be lack of acceptance, lack of care, sometimes a kid who is very shy will invent someone they can be completely open with and that is when imaginary friends often happen.

Yes, I do. But I'm aware that I'm just imagining them. But before I start to create my imaginary friends, my brother used to tell me that he had one named sigaro he don't have any features because his simply black, and I told him that I can also see sigaro and honestly I think I can really see him but then a few weeks my brother told me that he just tell those lies to make fun of me. That's kind a weird but I don't have a third eye and I haven't seen a ghost, I supposed..

No, I grew up in the 60s, and there were kids to play with all over the neighborhood. I was afraid I'd see a ghost though.

i didn't have an imaginary friend. i talk to myself. It is true that in Asia, sum ppl say they seen ghost. If they see ghosts, they have bad luck, and they will have a horrible life.

I had imaginary pets that i talked to.
However i was completely aware that they were a part of my own imagination.

Lol, I didn't have any (thankfully) That jus sounds weird to me...gives me chills. I had stuffed animals tho that i treated like humans. One my friends said she had imaginary bear friends tho that she could talk to...Lol.
