I'm aware of the rated M adult video games but was referring to video games like super mario and the old school games, which are now revamped into the nintendo wii, etc.I was just wondering what nostalgic hobbies some people still do nowadays?

I'm 49. I celebrate my 29th birthday every year. So my oldest boy is now older than me. I am a video game junkie. When Playstaion 1 came out I bought 2. One for the kids and 1 for me. Theirs is long gone, I still have mine and play it daily. I have a shoe box full of games. I love Tomb Raider. Laura Croft is my girl. I love Spyro the Dragon. PacMan and the Ms., I have the Sega Genisis system too, and the Super Nintendo. I have a thing for Mario. I love the Mario Kart. And Tetris will keep me up for hours. I decorate my room with stuffed animals and I have flowered comforter and matching curtains. I love Disney movies best of all. Yeah I guess I am still a Kid at heart and the grand kids think that's just fine. Crazy? OK I'm there.

I still play video games. I'm only 22, so I guess that's probably not what you're really thinking of when you say 'grown ups'. However, I have come in contact with people on Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG) like Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft that were 60 years old and older.
Also, I think you need to realize that there are healthy and unhealthy addictions. You can be addicted to video games and collecting stuffed animals without negatively impacting your life. It's the people who drop out of school or quit their jobs or ignore friends and family to play games who are "crazy." Similarly, the people who went around paying top dollar for rare beanie babies during the craze in the 90s were pretty dang nuts.
Nothing wrong with healthy addiction no matter what the age. :) Video games and stuffed animals are just hobbies after all. Not really any different than someone who chooses to spend free time fishing or dancing or martial arts or watching reruns of soap operas or whatever else.

I am not an avid video game player, but I have been known to play a few games with the kids, and by myself, when they are i.n bed. They have playstation, gameboys and tamagotchis.
I also collect Beanie Baby bears(in a cabinet) and glass cat figurines(which are also put in a cabinet)but I don't feel that this makes me childish in any way.
Everybody likes different things, no matter what age they are.
The only rooms in the house that are decorated in "childish" themes are my son's rooms.
I think anyone can become addicted to these games, and when it becomes apparent that it has taken over every day duties, then it is a problem.
If you have a family and a house, and are too busy playing to help out your partner with something, that is gettting out of hand, imo.
As for collecting things, as long as it doesn't bother the household, and they are put somewhere out of the way, and not cluttering the entire house, who cares.
Oh, and I am 29 years old.

Here I am! Grown up and avid videogame player. Now for the questions:
1) You bet.
2) Yes
3) No...I'm not gone so far.
4) Hard question. For the sake of brevity, I'll just say 25+
5) Yes
6) Because I reached that age.
7) Nothing bad. The whole videogame industry moves millions of $$$ and it depends of developers as much as of players. Even more, when companies hire developers, it's considered a plus to have "experience" with a determined game genre.
8) I have a job and a life, and I'm a quite sane person, thank you very much.
Ah, yes, the good old school. For playing again classics like Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, a console emulator is in order.

I have a friend who is about 20 years old, owns almost every video game console ever created, and still plays Yu-Gi-Oh. If he had a stuffed animal, I wouldn't be surprised.
I have a couple of old Beanie Babies that I'm planning to give to my baby cousin when the idea of her swallowing the beans becomes less of a concern. I also have a stuffed rabbit that I've had since I was a baby and refuse to part with.

I have a stuffed Husky and a stuffed Salmonella
I named my Salmonella Sam-Ella Josephine. I know it's crazy, yet it causes me to smile.
I have got, also, a neopet named Jelly Bean.
Oh no my room is not decorated in childish themes, though it were it would knock a few years off my life. I even color from time to time, yep in a bona-fide coloring book with crayons. Oh I have got loads of crayons and coloring books. Oh no we're not crazy, I've once that when you enjoy childish pursuits it takes years off your age/life. I even play Candyland still. As a matter of fact I'm coloring right now.

There are video games that are rated for adults you know.
IMO there are plenty of adults who play video games.
I don't think being a video game addict is the same as collecting plushes or figurines.

I like rabbits, so my significant other tends to buy me stuffed bunnies. With all the anniversaries, birthday gifts, and Easter presents...one of these days, my home is going to be taken over by rabbits. :)
I don't think you ever really grow out of stuff like that, either. People like collecting things. People love video games. Gathering and play are part of what makes us human, and it's as natural as anything else we do.

I'm an adult gamer who likes Spyro and Skylanders. Once in a while I'll play Sonic. I don't play T, M, or AO rated games because they don't appeal to me, unless the game is based off of an adult cartoon I like such as the Simpsons, Family Guy, or South Park. And I still have some of my stuffed animals from my childhood.
