But I was wondering since it is always plugged in and I don't use the battery for wirelss could that still be the problem..The fan on the bottom is not blocked at all..It's 2 years old and I know my son's Compaq was doing the same thing after 2 years?..Any suggestions?..Could it be an age thing?

Both PCs are infected with malware, probably a "Worm".
