Another vote for Christopher. I think Vladimir is a bit harsh and like some people suggested because of the Vlad the Impaler/Vlad Dracula association I'd think twice about using it. Also if you don't have Russian/Slavonic roots using a name that obviously comes from a different culture might not have the impact you want. If you like the sound of Vladimir there are some nicer options you could consider though. E.g. Dimitri or even Vladislav [still has the 'vlad', but is less sinister].

I prefer Christopher. But if you want something unusual go with Vladimir. If you want something common go with Christopher. Also go with other names there's many more and more better. Just think.
