"What HappenED to the year 1976?"

Did people who WERE alive during this time ever DO something in their lives before? Do you wish YOU could STILL have the SAME things with you?"

A most interesting question. The type that is asked in the Polls & Surveys category, but with more grammatical and spelling errors.

The year 1976 has already evaporated into the pages of history, but several people of the people who were alive during this time are still alive today, and have done much with their lives, and not anyone else's lives, and they may wish to have a with world without AIDS, or SARS, or H5N1 Avian Influenza.

The Vietnam thing was over and AIDS hadn't started yet. There was no rap music and no school shootings. Most cars were still goodlooking and didn't all look alike. Some of the good songs lasted up till 15 minutes. The Beatles were all still alive and making music. Everyone was slim because there wasn't fast food on every corner. Earth tones were popular esp different shades of brown and green. Indoor plants gave rooms a natural feel and reduced the expense of buying furniture. Sleeping and sitting on the floor promoted exercise. People weren't so into money. I wish I still had my shoes and the 240z.

I am a bit of harassed as to what your asking. to start with why is your might be hubby in first-rate drawback, did he do whatever to get him there? Second, are you superstitious to whether the wedding must occur this 12 months or no longer? Finallly, I suppose that you just and he must get married whilst and simplest whilst you're competent. If the lack of his sister is to first-rate for him to continue correct now, then permit him have the time he demands to heal as good because the relaxation of the loved ones. You would possibly endorse grief counseling for him to support him recover from the loss if that's what's conserving him again. If this isn't what you're searching for within the type of an reply, I am sorry, I used to be just a bit harassed for your query. Good Luck.

I'm not sure what this question is about, but I gather it has something to do with what happened in individual lives in that year.

Well, I'll give you one that I want on my ledger on Judgement Day.

I was an undergraduate student at EIU in Charleston, Illinois. In Charleston at that time, Lincoln Avenue (Illinois 16) was the busiest street in town, and the only 4 lane road. I was walking down one side of the street near the park, and two little kids were walking their dog on the sidewalk on the other side of the street. The dog got away from them and ran into the street, getting about halfway across before someone hit him and just drove off. He hobbled across the street right to me and I looked him over. The kids were bawling their eyes out across the street, I told them to stay where they were and I picked up the dog, as gently as possible, and carried him across the street. People stopped, probably because they didn't want to hit this idiot carrying an injured dog across a busy highway. I got over to the kids, who were still crying, and told them to calm down, and asked if their Mom or Dad were at home, they told me their Mom was home, and I said, go get her, and I'll wait with the dog. They came back and I talked to the Mother and told her what I'd seen, and she asked me who I was and where I lived, and I told her. And they took the dog to the vet. I think I must have asked if they'd let me know how he was. A few weeks later, they came over and visited me, all four of them, Mother, Son, Daughter and Dog, and he was ok.

I hadn't been made yet, but for those of you who had, wasn't there some kind of big deal about the Bicentennial? There were even special quarters made (which, unlike the past decade, was a big deal). Can't somebody tell us more about that?

(oh, and on a personal note, my car was built then, but sold as the next model year)

It was swallowed up by Theo, the Great Time-Swallowing Sea Urchin-God of Galaxicon IV. Only crumbs remain, sadly.
