Whether you believe Bonds did or didn't is irrelevant. If the ball is branded or not, it should be on display.

I like how people try to enforce their opinion by saying others aren't true fans if they agree or disagree.

Look at the man. There's no denying he did steroids. And whether he admits it or not- whether the ball is branded or not- the ball and the steroid allegations are part of baseball history.

I say put the ball on display by itself. If Bonds feels he's too good to be part of Cooperstown because they acknowledge the entire story instead of his version, then I say they should put a border of asteriks around a display of him and the ball.

Right or wrong, steroids are now a part of the history of baseball. There's no denying it. Bond's and his threats are merely a way for him to try to lie to future generations about what went on just as he has tried so hard to lie to this generaton.

I totally agree with what "penhead7" had to say . Especially when someone doesn't like your opinion and says your not a true fan . I couldn't even estimate the number of games I've attended . I am a true fan and I say that Hank Aaron is the true home run king and a good decent man that is a credit to baseball . Bonds is a lieing cheat who doesn't belong in the same sentence .

Not sure....and I am hoping the HOF truly does display it. The ball deserves an asterisk as does Bond's faux HR record.

hopefully never.
a fashion designer should have no say on how to alter a historic baseball. if the ball is marked with an asterisk, it should not be allowed in the hall of fame.
no positive test, no physical proof = not a user.
and plus, the years barry is accused of using, baseball had no rule against the use of performance enhancing drugs. it was a level playing field.

It will be a disgrace and an insult to the game of baseball and I hope the HOF comes to realize this and never accepts the ball in a defaced condition. Every real fan of baseball should be against a defaced ball included in the HOF residing next to other memorabilia representing the greatest players that ever played the game. Every one of us is smart enough to come to our own conclusions about Bonds without having something like this thrust upon us.
