Keep in mind that there's also iGoogle, iPod, etc., so while "Internet" sounds alright on the surface, it does sound quite awkward and even contradictory for it to mean "Internet Google" or "Internet Pod." Surely SOMEONE knows this one!(?)

it sure as hell isn't idiot proof... it could mean 'interesting' or new.. kind of like how they try to sell everything as "extreme" as in it's more better(er) than the previous version. the 'i' now comes to denote something that is part of the new wave of stuff that you can hook up to your computer...
