Why Lose a Foot? Is That Like Saying The Just Shall Suffer, While The Sinners Remain in Idleness, Keeping Their Members. The Feet Work Together, If One Is Absent Or Missing The Other One Suffers Carrying and Making Up The Load. Kinda Of Like The Troops In Combat, If Several Of Their Troops Get Their Foot Blowed Off, The Others Have To Carry The Load... Double Time....
Always Put Your Best Foot Forward, Unless, Uh, Your Crippled. VFW RULES!!!

Any metaphorical foot put forward needs to be put forward with intention. Then, any foot, with the power of the integrity of intention behind it, which means one's true focus has been harnessed in that act of putting forward, means that the result becomes accepted whether the result is what was hoped for or not. My advice is to really focus your intention before extending the foot, and not expect a particular result. Life is for living and sometimes extending the foot means dipping a toe in the water if it is part of the path you've chosen to walk. Losing may not be an option but if you look at it as gaining valuable experience, then you haven't lost at all.

Excellent question! There's always that possibility isn't there? Think I start out with my best foot because it's what I'm more sure footed with. I'll take my chances on losing it 'cause I've taken it before and it leads me to where I'm going.

Abird in hand is worthy than two in the bush.Evaluation and study is good for achieving better strength and progress in future.Put the best foot forward unmindfull of the loss in the past .But by freequent attempt the lost can be regained.Time factor is crucial ; quick action is required for regaining or hope for the best and act accordingly.

If I thought I would lose a foot, I would not put it forward. So put your best foot forward and look before you leap.

What an excellent question!

Put your best foot forward and don't be afraid of losing it.

If you lead with the one you don't mind losing you will always be a cripple.

That is the question!
This is a very difficult answer. TIME, in some situation, may be helpful.
E. g.: I'll have to wait a little longer for someone. I'm most sure he has some more difficulties and I trust him.
Until some other next year, I have some business to do. Some I have to resolve personally, but some serious business cannot be done but in team. A live art coffee lounge, for example ~ !?

If you think you might lose a foot, you should probably lead with the one you don't mind losing. But I don't lose feet very often.

Do I want to be a leader or a follower?

I'd put my best foot forward, in fear of the (failing) other choice.
