It would be very, very, VERY tempting to send an intricately detailed, word-for-word dialog-type message back to my 15 or 16 year-old self. A "How-To" guide guaranteed to give me the know-how to interact with the females. (And I'm wording this very, very.......carefully.)
Kinda like the themes explored in "Groundhog Day" and "What Women Want" and "Somewhere In Time" and "Click" all rolled into one.
But then, I think, "What would this have accomplished for my Adult Self in the long run?" Just like all your other Answer-ers who opt for monetary gain, it would only satisfy the "Instant Gratification" aspect of my superficial needs. And I would like to hope that I would resist that temptation to go a little "deeper" for a more ultimately satisfying end result.
So..........I'm going to actually DO what you propose!
At this very moment, not only am I answering your hypothetically-worded question, and about to post it for a few thousand onlookers to read, but I am also presently connecting TO myself from the not-so-distant future (to my not-so-distant future self) FROM my not-so-distant past self (from my not-so-distant past.) Get it?
So, here's my 1 chance...
"Listen to your conscience. Focus on that little voice, every second, that is constantly reminding you about what is right and what is wrong. Because that little voice is YOU. And one day, finally, you will look back and say, "Hallelujah!"

I would pull a "Biff" from back to the future. I would bring a sports book back from the future telling all the games and winners from the past X amount of years. Or i would tell myself to buy certain stocks or lottery numbers.
Lets be honest here. Money not only changes a persons life but also what that man can do with his life. If i had an enormous amount of money society and our world would be a better place.
The only way i would see things different is if my future self had some kind of advanced knowledge (other than knowledge of a time travel) of something that could alter the future. But then again you have the grand father paradox.
Right now, It would be financial advice.

there are many things to tell yourself after realizing youv'e done somthing wrong so here are the list of things to tell myself:
1. study hard, don't be lazy to study so you will achieve your dreams.
2. say sorry to my parents since i've been so hard-headed when they we're taking care of me.
3. take good care of my parents, since they were the ones who took care of me.
4. don't cheat during exams, never lie!
5. marry the right guy,(not yet happening but if it already happened...) maybe i've chossen a bad boy and had several problems in life.
6. be a good girl and be contented with what you have, we are not sure what is going to happen in the future so enjoy what your having now.
7. save money, money is not infinite so by the time goes, who knows if we still have the same amount of money or not.
8. save time, time cannot be pulled back(unless you turn the knob at the back..hehe) so use it wisely, we are not living here permanetly.
9. don't eat too much candy!
and many more but the most important i want to say is:
::enjoy life, don't change your life and be who you are, study well and be successful::

I would give myself realistic pointers on how to be a better person, a better mother, and a better wife. My future self will be older and hopefully wiser. I'll have learned from the many mistakes that are to pass. Hopefully I'll be well versed enough to help my present self reach enlightenment without hurting anyone in the process.
As you get older, your priorities shift and you focus on what is more important. I will send back what I find. So much is transitional and we are too caught up the daily stressors of life to see. But, hind sight being 20/20, I'll be able to help myself from getting caught up in things that don't matter and to focus on the things that do, like family and friends.
That would be nice.

Cowardice, treachery, backstabbing and betrayal. All the hallmarks of a feminist. It's a time-honoured girl's factor, as we men recognize best too good. A girl's manner of 'discussing' an challenge that demands airing and clearing is to sail in, give a broadside, and stroll out earlier than any reaction is given. As in - that is it - take it or depart it, variety of like Pearl Harbour. And then they marvel why no one ever 'takes' it or 'leaves' it. This is:- a) infantile b) actual violence c) on no account going to resolve a situation d) making a worse situation than the long-established one Generally - it is the motion of a social moron - I'd forget about it. Gee - I desire it wasn't one in all my contacts!

as you pointed out, according to recent theories, even if we could travel back in time and influence our past (kill our father, make ourselves rich by giving them lottery numbers etc) our present day wouldn't be altered because it has already happened thus going back in the past wouldnt change a thing because we would have gone to a different version of our past in a parrarel universe...pretty nice stuff :)
