Owens was an intelligent but delusional and misguided person. (He experienced trauma to the head as a young person that may or may not be the cause of his delusions.) In a nutshell he claimed to be able to communicate with invisible extraterrestrials. That's correct, invisible. His supporters claimed he could control weather phenomena. This was never substantiated by anyone outside his support group.

Yes, I just listened to a radio-programme on youtube; and found it fascinating. Ted Owens died at an old age in 1987. Very intelligent man.
According to Jeffrey Mishlove, the people who worked with him confirmed that he could controll the weather and cause storms or lightning strikes. People asked him to cause it, and he did by pointing his finger and concentrating.
Mishlove continues to say that in some tribes, it is a normal accepted phenomena for people to have such abilities to a certain extent (cultures with black magic), but never to such a big extent. But this ability is something I've never heard of either.
Owens also predicted UFO-appearances, and these appearances were indeed reported soon afterwards but never right away. Maybe Owens was the Einstein of psychics. It must have been difficult to work with him, since he could be vicious, and he always talked about aliens and invisible spaceships. He always said he was the first man since Moses who had the ability to talk to higher intelligences. I can imagine it's hard to take such a person seriously - because it could come close to paranoia.
I recommend the radio interview:

He was a guy back in the 60's who claimed to be in contact with aliens in his head!?!. He wrote a lot of stuff or was wrote about back then. Don't know what ever happened to him, just faded a way I guess. I remember reading about him a long time ago, claimed to have super powers or something like that. Was real big with the UFO nuts back then.

I don't know if he was the same one...but there was a man who said he talked to an alien being often, but the being had a name.Maybe someone on here knows if this is the same man...or the name of the other man.(I read the link, but it didn't say anything about the alien having a name.)
