I'm a creative story writer and I need some inspiration for a upcoming story. for a babies first Christmas, what are some good ideas that I can incorporate into the story. My stories are known for vivid imagery detail. I had thrown around some ideas of snow, trees, etc but am now in a rut, any ideas will be great!

Thanks

I like EnviroDude's idea. Someone had asked earlier where the idea for all the Christmas decorations comes from and a couple of the answers are pretty good http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsrVypsNfHqskbSLm4Lt4uPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071103034937AAxXYYp&show=7#profile-info-r8oYNaBCaa
Embelish a bit, especially about the legend in one of the answers and you have quickly a story.

this is wat ii did 4 english, i had a teddy bear that i had gotton one my veery first xmasi had always loved that teddybear and took it everywhere, that teddy bear was speacial to me bcuz it was my firstpresent from santa clause. as i grew older my friends didn't believe in santa clause and didn't like that teddy bear, they made me believe santa wasn't real. that nighti went home and stomped on my teddy bear as hard as i could and pulled out the button eyes.i shoved it under my bed to leave there forever..TIME HAD PASSED(20 years later)..i was cleaning the room that had used to be mine, it was now going to become our new daughters room, Kate Lynn.I had found the teddybear and immidiatly went too tears, 5 was not the age to stop believing. i fixed up the teddy bear and washed it, i gave it to my newborn on christmas, she loved it just like i did, she kept it on her shelf forever to stay, now my grandkids, and Kates daughters love the bear as i and kate did. the bear will be passed on forever to show that even the most ragid toy can make a child feel happy... you could change it up, i wrote it along time ago and it was from memory!
