Have you raised your cat to take car rides with you?
Just adopted an adorable kitten.
Would LOVE to train this cat from kittenhood to adulthood to ride in cars, take cat walks {on one of those cat leashes they sell}, and from the start {after all their shots/distemper,ect} give them occassional baths--not a lot of baths just maybe once a month
BACK TO CAR QUESTION THOUGH :o)
thanks

just start taking your cat with you whenever you go in your car . she'll get used to it and enjoy it. i had a cat who loved sitting behind my neck on the back of the seat. they are easy to train to walk on a leash, just start at an early age. baths are usually no problem. just start doing these things now while she's still young. i wonder why this posted in the baby section?! lol

The thing about cats is, that cats will do whatever cats want to do. You can't really train a cat to like something, it just has to be in their temperment to like them or not. So try out all the things that you want to do with the kitten for a couple three months and see how she takes to them. You'll see clearly if your cat's answer is yes or no. Good luck with the new kitten.

P.S. If you take the cat in the car, make sure she is secured. Cats can get spooked easily and jump on you, which could cause an accident.

i had a kitten who used to love the car (he sat on my lap till he got to big) till he went to the vet for his shots. then he was very cautious in case it happened again. leash walks, no and definitely not baths (hated them) i tried the baths as he was part persian with rather long hair.
have fun with your new cat, and it will be a joy for you.

No... your turning into the "crazy cat lady".... you should have a baby, and stop trying to pretend your cat is a kid... you'd probably be a good parent to a kid...
