. .. . . I am trying to figure out what country you live in. Obviously not India or Australia.
If you live in America, that makes me wonder where. I live in rural northern California, and we definitely have our share of predatory animals in around here, so you can add this area to your list of places not to visit. LOTS of snakes (yes, some venomous), bears, cougars, lynx, coyotes, and if you go a couple hours west of me, there you have your Great Whites.
I happen to love snakes, and that has somehow spread to my family and friends to the point where my mom has stopped traffic in the middle of the road so that a king snake could cross. And by the way, snakes really aren't vicious. 99% of them will go out of their way to avoid humans whenever possible. Did you ever wonder why a rattlesnake rattles? They don't want to bite us, they don't want anything to do with us. Nearly all of them will warn us before they strike.
Good luck with your plans of avoiding dangerous animals, that just leaves more fun for the rest of us. ;)

I live in Adelaide, Australia and so far in my 36 years I have not come across a snake in my house. As far as Great Whites go, they don't come onto land and I don't go into the water, so we have never met, but from reading about Rodney Fox (who has an awesome museum in Glenelg), it would be a traumatic experience. Regardless of our "wildlife" you should come and visit and say g'day. It's a beautiful country.

I've also wondered these same questions. I live in Pennsylvania, the most dangerous animal we have is probably the Copperhead snake, which is only up in the mountains or dense forest. I couldn't imagine living somewhere where there are animals everywhere that can kill you if they bite you.

Ummm....stay right there.
Actually, we don't have anything here in Australia that we can't handle by ourselves.
On second thoughts....send out Arnold Schwarzenegger.....I wanna see how tough he is fighting one of our little bitty crocs !!!!
