Im in my last quarter at my University and I have a big crush on my TA (teacher's assistant).

We're the same age and I've gotten the vibe from him that he likes me too, but I'm waiting it out till the end of the quarter to act on anything.

Anyways, heres the problem:
I'm bad at essays and although I tried really hard, I didn't write such a great paper and he gave me a "B" on it.

Should I be embarrassed?
Does this mean he isn't interested in me and I should rule him out?

No need to be embarrassed.

And it doesn't mean he's not interested, either. He could be a person who takes his job seriously, thinks about right and wrong, and doesn't let personal feelings alter the grades he gives out.

If this is true, and he's interested, he might be a keeper.

I would not be embarrassed by a B!!!

Even if he is interested, he still has to follow by the rules. His job is to grade fairly. He can't show you any favoritism or be overly harsh. He has to look at your paper(s) and grade you in a completely objective manner. He has to cover his behind in a way... See, the flip side is this. Say you two were to hook up, and then he gave you a bad grade. You could complain, bring the relationship into it, etc. This makes him look bad and starts to jeopardize his college career.

I would wait it out until the end of the semester, and see how it goes. He may be a lot more receptive once the pressure is off.

Good luck =)

It doesn't mean he does not like you -- it just means he is honest.
