My hobbies include jewelrymaking, cardmaking, floral arrangement, knitting, crocheting, drawing and painting. I don't paint anymore, but I still doodle and sketch ideas for jewelry and card layouts. I ran out of space in the house for flower arrangements, so I don't do that anymore. I knit and crochet every now and then when the weather gets cooler.
Jewelry and cardmaking started out as hobbies but are now my only source of income after being laid off. I mostly sell jewelry and teach several jewelrymaking classes. I like to make things I would wear.
I have dabbled in making dolls out of polymer clay, but I didn't enjoy it as much as my other hobbies.

google 'craft' and you will find a free craft site that will give you lots of crafts, ideas and free patterns. All crafts can be hobbies and all crafts and hobbies can be made into a business, large or small. It all depends on what you like, how well you do it, how much time you can spend on it and how far you can sell your craft. Try all crafts, find what you love doing the most and stick with it. Learn how to be the best at it, ask anyone and everyone for tips and advice, join a local group and enjoy. I love patchwork, quilting, applique, stitchery, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking and other papercrafts, beading, sewing for the home, sewing clothes, watercolour painting, fabric painting, dollmaking, toy making, and kids crafts. Most of my crafts I usually give as gifts, but I have sewn clothing and homewares for paying people and I have made a lot of crafts for school fetes. I hope this helps you. Whatever you do, have fun doing it. When you sell your craft and making that craft stops being fun, try something else or don't make it into a business. Craft is meant to be a heartfelt pastime, a time to enjoy and relax, keeping that in mind will help you decide what craft to make into a business.
Hope this helps

I knit and crochet, I do it for fun because if I did it for an income it would be more money than most people in rural areas could pay

I sew for pleasure and for money, and do other crafts just for fun, like handmade recycled paper, polymer clay, and refinishing wood items for home decorating.
