Sometimes my screen even blinks when the mouse pointer moves.

I run my computer from a "Limited user account" which is password protected and my Administrator account is also password protected.

and no, I run my DSL directly from the modem without a router in between.

If it is a hacker how did he get in? and by the way this hacker is someone who attacked me here from Yahoo questions.

If the mouse pointer is just creeping a little bit, then its just the mouse itself thinking that its moving. If you unplug the mouse, the pointer should stop moving completely.

I wouldn't advise you to run the computer directly to the router without installing some firewall software. I use this one that got some good reviews and stopped the most intrusion attempts in a test:

There's a bunch of free anti-virus checkers that do a pretty good job. Of those, I see lots of people recommending AVG and I've used it with good results as well:

Do you have a wacom or any other new mouse installed on your computer? The MS support page link below tells you how to clear previously loaded alternate mouse installs.

I would also check to see if the same problem happens while in safe mode, or if maybe the screen resolution size is a bit too large for the processor.

Dude .You are paranoid.Change the batteries. If that does'nt work buy a new mouse pad. Mine did the same thing. But remember just because you are paranoid that does'nt mean we're not all out to get you.
