Definitely! Back in the 60's it was like Kennedy said" Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what YOU can do for your country". Now it seems just the opposite. It's all about ME,ME, ME.
There is no sacrifice, no volunteers, no sense of nationalism and no pride. Sadly, America has become what many think Europe is- liberal. Funny thing though, I just got back from Europe. They realize the mistakes they made with their lazie-faire attitude and are circling back to the right. Think of societies as a physics problem. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you go too far left, the right rises up and takes over for a while, then back to the left again. That's (in part) how WWI and WWII came to fruition.

Yes, it is due to a combination of things. Some say it started in the 1950's with rock and roll music, however I think it started in the 1960s , because of the discovery of penicillin and birth control..It's just gone downhill from there as education has and nutrition has gotten worse
