I think people blame the wrong things for adolences bad behavior. Not only are video games more violent than what they used to be - but the news, newspapers, websites, conversations in general, and the way we talk to eachother are more violent too. Was road rage such a problem when cars were first invented? Nope. Did stores always contain express lanes because people are so impatient and irritiable? Of course not. I think it is not the children's activities causing the havoic, but just a sign of the times.

I don't think Movies or video games or "fake" tv programs influences childrens behaviour at all. In childrens eyes the movies are movies only, games are games, but seeing the news and documentories is the baddies. I think they think if they have really done it then if I try it, it might work.
If that person said so or did so in actual real life, maybe I can do so too as maybe that is the way to be because they are.
In movies and games children really think the bad persons are bad. In news and all the other "real" programs they think "Oh, how about that! Is that the way we might turn out or maybe have to be to get thru this life".
And there is so many real life programs on tv these days.

I read something today about a study of teens and video games. The subjects playing video games did not have brain stimulation in the part (frontal something or other) of the brain that develops self control. Teens who instead did math problems had brain activity on the left, right and (frontal) portions of their brains. It also said something about the frontal portion doing most of it's development up to age 20.
It wasn't the content of the video games that makes the kids violent - it was the resultant lack of growth in the part of the brain that makes us able to control our emotions and reactions to others - thus resulting in violent behavior by teens who spend too much time playing video games.
It said the scientists were very surprised that playing the games only stimulated the vision part and (hand coordination) part.

Nope. My source is an example of one of the most common misconceptions. It shows that violent video games do not incite violence in children, except for children who already have anger issues or violent tendencies, etc. In other words, it can elicit what's there already, but it just doesn't make kids violent if they normally aren't.
