Personality no, and as for gifts of talents I don't think so. No one in my family is an artist and I have records of our lineage that goes back to 1664. We came to Gaspe from Normandy that year. Three generations ago my great grandfather married an native of Canada and there is no such recordings of her ancestors trades either. But what I have inherited from her DNA and my ancestors from Europe's DNA are blue eyes, native appearance, waving hair and the black of Natives hair. But my personality would be like my dad's because I grew up emulating my hero. So I learnt a good portion of that from my dad.
My intelligence and the rest of my personality has been taught in atmosphere.
What my physical appearance, and my physical state are is directly from the DNA code of my parents.
We think, and develop our personalities in the environment we grow up in.
