Beach volleyball, beach soccer, as Olympic Sports? How about couch rugby and underwater wrestling?

One laments the removal of tug-o-war. I hear the 2008 Games in Beijing will include throwing the hammer-and-sickle and cross-straits shooting.

The Olympics have grown to include too many sports.
Their voting on new sports and removing some sports seems suspect to me.

If the world-wide participation of a sport is required for its inclusion in the Olympics then I don't get the dancing around with a ribbon on a stick event.
