How do you find out your Vocal Range?

Sing notes using the piano and see what the highest and lowest notes are that you can sing comfortably. That's your range. It may be easiest to start at middle C then go up, then down or vice versa. Make sure you warm up first.

You sing notes going up as high as you can to find your high note and then start again and go down to find the lowest note you can sing. The pitches between your lowest note and your highest constitute your vocal range. Bass is the lowest male range, baritone is middle range and tenor is top male range. For females, the lowest is alto, followed by mezzo in the middle and soprano at the top. You should probably work with a musician who can listen to your voice. That way, you can be most accurate. Good luck!
