I'm surprised that even any Suns fans can look anyone in the face and say Amare is better than Garnet.
go to NBA.com, player profiles, check efficiency ratings, which is basically how players are judged on paper.
KG has the highest efficiency rating in the last 8 years in a roll, the guy averages a 20/10/5 pretty much every season, and unlike Amare, knows what defense means.
Sure Amare is an explosive player, however, without a play maker like Nash, Amare's numbers are simply pitiful. From a value based perspective, the better question should be if Shawn Marion is better than Garnet, Amare comes no where near close.

wow....KG easily, and Im not even a celtics or timberwolves fan. but you suns fans are funny. How can you compare the two? Kg would take amare to skool. KG is tim duncan, only his problem was he maxed out his contract and wasn't able to get good players around him, he sees that now and took a massive paycut so it wouldn't happen again. KG is a professional, one of the most professional in the league, you didn't see him crying like kobe about having no talent around him, nah he just sucked it up and kept on playing. Amare wouldn't be an all star if it were not for nash at the PG.

I'd have to go with Amare simply because he has better teammates.With Nash running the point,any Suns player down low(Stoudemire,Marion,Diaw)will get a lot of touches.The other Suns guard,Bell,will feed the ball down low to Amare and others,as well.Amare is younger to K.G. so that was one of my deciding factors in giving the nod to Amare.

KG without a doubt. Offensively they are almost the same. Defensively KG is miles ahead of Amare.

Overall KG is better, he does everything, however amare is younger, still in development, more athletic than KG, he has potential to be one of the greats, he is still a youngster~! But right now KG is not only better than STAT but better than almost every player in the league, overall, filling up the stat sheets.

Go Stoudemire!!! The Suns rox and everyone knows it. The Spurs cheated their way to the NBA Finals, while the Suns should have been there instead. I have met Stoudemire and he is awesome! Go Suns!!!

KG is the better player. He plays both ends of the court.

at this time KG. but you'll never know in the future. amare still has plenty room to grow.

I like both but put Amarie in K.G.'s spot in T'Wolves and Amaire would of put up MVP numbers. That's basically what K.G. did night in and night out. K.G. is more versatile than a Amarie in the one sense he can hit the trey.
