WE HAVE ONE but my daughter-in-law had to wait in line outside a store very early in the a.m. to get it and yes, WE DO LOVE IT -- IT'S BEEN A LOT OF FUN. But why can't they make enough of them so people can buy them when they want to?

Because Nintendo is deliberately causing the shortage. Nintendo is laughing every time Yahoo, IGN, etc. does a story about how there's going to be a Wii shortage this holiday season. It's a great way for Nintendo to generate free publicity without spending any money. With that news, that just means more and more people will want one because they can't get one. Have you read some of the questions regarding the Wii? You got people asking how much is the Wii. When someone asks how much is a Wii, do you think that they really want a Wii or do they want one because everyone keeps talking about it? What Nintendo has done is brilliant. Don't be surprised if Sony and MS do the same thing when their next system comes out. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a shortage of PS4 and XBox Next for a year or longer.

Nintendo underestimated demand, because no video game console has ever had near this much demand in it's first year. They then held off on starting new factories until after March so that the cost for them would be on this fiscal year, rather than last, keeping their profit numbers from last year looking good. And it takes roughly 6 months to get an electronics factory up and running. So they would be just about ready to turn on those new factories now.

Nintendo, has not know that their customers will have high dematendo inds for the console...

They just thought it is going to sell crappy, like gamecube, and all those other consoles they made.

Although Nintendo is trying their best, they just cant keep up in some main countries.

Nintendo is too busy on line because of their production of games, because as you know, not many conpanies out there produce kid games, so they are on their own basically!
