Why are hooked noses or noses with bumps or long noses considered unattractive on women by a lot of people?

Is it because they are ethnic? Less feminine in some way? How did this way of thinking start? If a guys have these nose shapes half will pass it onto their daughters- so shouldn't it be normal?
Was reading all these questions on here about nose jobs- so started wondering.

A hooked nose or bumps are considered signs of wisdom in some cultures.

Beauty is in the eyes of the advertising people. Their goal is to make money.

Think of a hooked nose as a sign of distinction or something that makes one unique in this society where everyone is supposed to be "beautiful" (but isn't.)

I'm probably older than your mother and in all my life dealing with MANY people from all walks of life, I have never come across someone who would qualify for the title: "super model." That goes to show how rare that "condition" is.

The majority of people have unique differences. If someone builds their identity around their unique qualities instead of obsessing about noses, they will be much happier and there would be no need for plastic surgury or plastic surgeons.

And that brings us back to the $$$$ issue. I'm not surprised. Are you?

I think it is less common. so before the population exploded or t.v came out, which by the way t.v makes it worse, there was one type of nose people were use to, and because people are so into following what others think, they go along with, sort of a brain washing process that anything out of the norm is well, i guess ugly. I think personality rocks. So if you dont have your own ideas and brain, which we all do, that would be a problem if you had a crooked nose etc. because thats all that people would have to look at.

Anyone who judges you based on the appearance of your
or anyones nose should be avoided like the plague. Now I know a lot of men are really shallow but I never hardly ever hear them standing around talking about womens noses.
" Boy oh boy look at that nose". "Did you see the set of nostrils
on that one"? The old adage still stands. You can pick your friends and you can pick you nose, but you can't pick your friends nose.

It's all about conditioned aesthetics. We connect smooth graceful lines physically with a graceful nature. Its all social conditioning. If we were raised to think big shnozzes are hot, then big nosed chicks would be the top story on E!, not Paris and company.

Why do most people think homosexuality is wrong? Conditioning. 2000 years ago, it was perfectly acceptable.

Check out Barbara Streisand's nose- it never stopped her and she could have had surgery anywhere and by anyone---your nose has to fit your "facial features". If you are small boned, slim and petite with smaller set eyes and a smaller mouth your nose would then be the focal point.....if you have an ethnic face---i.e. italian--large piercing oval eyes- big cheek bones and prominent jaw....your nose is no longer the focal point, your EYES are.......if you feel insecure........have someone analyze your profile...........

I don't know, I guess it is just opinion. My nose is alittle bumpy, and I don't like it. I guess it is because people strive for perfection.
