well, there are things that will change you for better or for worse, and deep inside you may still be the sweet and innocent person, or honest to god mean person. but whatever is in you, is like marrow in a bone, and here to stay.

To me it means that no matter what, you will always have the same emotions, reactions, feeling and outlook. You can change some things about yourself, but the core of your personality will always be the same, which makes you different from other people.

You can always change or be a person that grows and learns new things all the time. You can even change your behavior from bad to good. But no matter how much you can change in your life. It is still you that is doing the changing! And that is a good thing to change from bad to good. To drop a bad habit and take care of yourself. That way you can help others to learn from your life and start to take care of themselves!

to me it means, that you are born with a certain biological make up (which determines your personality and so forth).. as you grow older you encounter many things, you do many things.. all of these enhance and/or subtract from your being.. but regardless of all that, you still have the same core..
I will try explain in two ways. one way you can look at this is that you are born to the number ZERO (0), as you live you add numbers, and you also subtract numbers to the number you are born with, but the bottom line is these numbers are all in relation to you original number value.
To put that in a non-numerical concept.. look at it as you are born with a particular mind set, as you live you come across many things, learn different or better things and so on, but the bottom line is.. everything you see, say, do, think.... the mind set, or the process of thinking, seeing, doing and saying an individual has does not change - we may think we learn something new/better but the reality is we learn (or recognise/acknowledge the lesson) in the way we have been "programed" (sorry for the lack of a better word) to do in our biological make up/or as I used earlier "our original numeric value"
Whether this is a good or a bad thing is an entirely different topic, but would make for a good discussion.
Hope that wasnt confusing for anyone... my mind is a jumble.

One has the freedom of choice, which includes to be authentic, as with Heidegger. One must conclude that everyone is an individual at heart and must overcome conformity, for what is the purpose of being the faceless man of the big city while one can be the distinguished Zeit-Geist?

When i hear that quote i think of this psychology assignment i did a couple of years ago(high school) on conformity.
No matter what someone does(even if it's trying to be someone else). The act of trying to be someone else, is what makes them themselves.

We are not the sum total of our mistakes or experiences. So at the end of the day, regardless of what I've been through or will go through in the future, I'm still me, a spiritual being having a human experience. My authentic self will always reign supreme. I can't run from myself..my truth:)

Well, to me it means that someone can try to change who they are by changing their clothes, moving into a fancy house, driving an expensive car, or putting on aires; however, in spite of all of these attempts to change oneself, the inner self of the human being will forever remain the same.

It does not matter how you try to hide your true self, you will be the same on the inside, and your true nature will show.
