First you must begin to understand his severity of the charge
a, b, c, Misdeamenor or if its an a,b,c Felony or research criminal lawand heaven forbid if hes a repeat offender ,
Second if he did a plea bargain or not their are some books available at barns and noble on criminal law i had a friend i cared about get locked up for a felony,b and given a sentence of 4-8 years robbery by knifepoint however he copped out to a plea and giving up his right they intimidated him into coping the plea by telling him if they go to grand jury hed face stiffer penalties ...However the purpose of grand jury is to determine if evidence is enough to convict a perosn of crime had my friend didnt cop a plea. And took his case to grand jury hed never go to jail there was a report when he was arrested withhis friends saying he had no weapon on his person ....and so this wouldve absolved him from the crime however he would recieve a lesser sentence for aiding or being an accomplice however theyres no witnesses the victim verses the guilty
Do alot of reserch to understand his circumstances and keep him calm they treat them bad in jail deprive them of food except for a stale ham sandwich while waiting to see the judge...not a wonderplace to be.....Be Strong...And good luck....

Its obvious moslty all the other answers ive seen never saw what i have during jail visits...I looked around and it hurts the heart to see a child torn from a mother or father in jail, and hearing that child scream to be with both their parents.
My dad was never in my life for most of it and in and out of jail....
And im a wonderful man today, graduate of college my mom was both my parents. I hope you are strong and don't build yourself your own prison...Have your friends visit you when your sad or depressed go out and hang out if you can forward your house calls to a cell phone do it. If you can visit every weekend do it for your kids sake.
And dont lie to them...stay truthful and make sure they understand that its not their fault that daddy wont be home for christmas.
Another idea is to Check your local states prison site you can search by name and age or by their din number. youll see their release date however if the crime is a violent one he may be denied, until good behavior sets in and gets him out
ohhhh! my friend served 4 years and has 1 yr parole it was good behavior that got him out....

OWWKKKK First of all they probably moved him because there wasn't enough room for him there and since he is getting out soon could be a possibility that he'll be going to see a judge pretty soon,Matter a fact tell him to write another letter to the judge and tell the judge what happened he will most likely hear back no more then 2 weeks OK I hope I helped you out!if not go to Beaumont county jails and look in records good luck with that....

i'm in california, so this might not apply in texas. you need to call the department of corrections in texas, and ask to talk to the officer of the day, or see if he has been assigned a parole officer yet. it's better to talk to his parole officer. sounds like to me he has been transferred to the county jail for a court date of some sort. does he have any outstanding warrents for tickets, missed court dates assigned before he was arrested, or maybe he has new charges brought against him by the state, or victim? he can seek all the answers he needs from the prison. he just needs to ask some inmates he trust, who he should write to. he also can call the parole office collect from prison. when in prison, they do not move inmates to county jails, they move them to another prison, unless they have other court dates. no website, or parole office, etc will give out release dates due to victims families trying to seek revenge. he has been told an estimated release date. again this is how it is here in california. good luck to you all. i know how it it, the holidays stink with out your man, or dad. plan on going to a family members house to help ease the pain.

Is Beaumont closer to your home than Huntsville?? If it is, it could be they're moving him closer to home in anticipation of his being paroled. If it's further away, then Huntsville might be overcrowded and there might be more room at Beaumont.

I hope he gets his parole and also hope he NEVER has to worry about jail in the future.

2 bad for u. Parole is at the discretion of the parole board. Prisoners get moved when the one they are in is too crowded, or to make room for more serious offenders.

Was he guilty?

They move prisoners from time to time....either he has not been good...or maybe he has been good and they are sending him to a better place. If they said Oct 08...your best thing to do is tell the kids he won't be home for Christmas..at least not this Christmas

i dont think you will be seeing that husband of yours and you are practiclly acting dumb when you ask why did they move him. they moved because they needed room for some more even badder people, okay! your husband is a long way from you, so start dating while you can and don't let your kids find out. and remeber use saftey first when in bed!

google texas department of corrections and do a search for his name. It should at least give you his release date.

He should have thought of your 2 young children before assaulting someone.
You should make better choices... it must have been pretty bad for him to get 2 years.
