It seems that you need DDR2 type memory.

When I try to figure out which RAM to get I go to
www.crucial.com or www.oempcworld.com

You just enter you computer type and number and they will tell you which type of RAM you can get or how much.

I got this info from crucial.com

Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-4200,DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot.*

okay , this is very easy, first , flip the laptop over , look at the back , you'll find a couple of doors , screwed into the back , each has an icon beside it , the one with the chips engraved beside it is the ram slots , so u unscrew that , get the old chips out , install the new chips , done, although , i'm not sure how many slots u got coz i'm not sure whether there's a 2gb ram chip right now , so if u have 4 slots ( which is highly unlikely ) , u can upgrade to 4 gb , otherwise u can buy 2 (1 gb ) chips , and have 2 gb instead of 1 .

Hope I Helped.

Ok, everyone here is gonna tell you to just unscrew the back of the computer and pop in more 1 gig ram cards....but FIRST it would be a really good idea to call up customer service of ACER and ask them : "what kind of ram do I need"
ask them 1: what speed, and 2: what other specs and clock speed does the RAM need to be.. 3: how many spare RAM slots you have under the panel in your laptop.. With all of this info, it will be the safest way to upgrade your notebook without frying it by adding a wrong part...

Most likely its using DDR2 but first check the documents that came with it or ask the people on the store where you bought it.

**Before you do this make sure you have a compatible RAM card and don't touch the gold pins

1.Open the PC's case
2.Then look for the RAM's slot
3.Open the locks that secure the RAM
4.Add your RAM
5.Make sure the RAM is in place by pushing the 2 plastic things beside it.
6.Close the case
7.Turn on your PC then right click the My Computer icon the choose properties and check if the new RAM was detected

**if the new RAM is not detected make sure its in place or try calling tech support

I am not sure what you're asking for. But i'm assuming that you wanted to ADD ram into your system.

What you should do is to check your RAM type. For your case, an Acer Aspire 9300 is using DDR2-RAM.

If you are not sure how to ADD in RAM for your system, you should bring it to a computer shop or a service center nearer to your home for addition.

From the way I understand it, it has 1GB of ram and when they say "expandable" they mean you can add more to make it 4GB.

So, you buy laptop ram, and if you want it to be 4GB, buy 3 more 1GB laptop ram sticks.

Now I don't know how to add more RAM to a laptop so, I would bring it to a technician.

Hi. If 1 GB ram meets your needs then go with it. RAM is easy to add so if you need more then add more.

stop worrying... call your vendor/visit the shop from where you bought it.. and just tell them what you need...
and if you wish to do it of your own.. open the casing & fit the desired ram(with correct clock freq & FSB at par) to its position...
