I just lost my dog and best friend for 14 years. He died gracefully in my arms. At this point in time I am not afraid of losing anything but a health condition has taken away my favorite winter hobby, skiing. I had a boss try to demoralize me at work today because of somebody else's mistake. He did succeed in ruining my mood for this Friday evening but by morning I will be prepared to go out and face the cool northern air. I can take a good beating but that doesn't mean that I entirely have lost.

my sanity. i've been losing it for awhile. sometimes i feel i can go crazy. i want to lose controll to yell, to tell people how i truly feel despite knowing what they will tell me, and intellectually knowing it's not right to feel that way. But i hold back and live in bitterness.
