It may be worth checking the nuts regularly - the toilet seat ones that is.

If you are flush with cash you should be able to get a good quality loo seat.

It also depends on how well aligned the original holes are on the loo bowl. Otherwise the seat could end up a little out of alignment, so you would have to aim carefully as it were.

Buy a good toilet pan seat. Not a cheaply made one from a diy chain. try screwfix and get the best seat you can.
In the UK toilet Pan's sets come with cheaply made seats, unless you buy a very high quality toilet.
Don't pay less than £20 for a seat.

Hi.
Maybe the quality of the seats are bad quality.
You should buy good quality supplies and forget about the expense.
Its better to buy the expensive then to buy something cheap and pay more in repair.
Take care.

They are probably all made in China and not the best fitting, so if they constantly move they will come loose. Maybe try getting better fitting screws from a hardware shop.
Alternatively keep taking them back to the shop you got them from so they will get the message they are inferior quality.

You could put a lock washer on the bolt to keep it from getting loose ,and there is a tube of glue called lock tight you could use on the screws.

I finally broke down and bought a more expensive seat. I've had it for at least 3 years now.

You can buy new seat fixings only without having to buy a new toilet seat.

these plastic nuts and bolts don't hold up well but you have to try and snug them down. hold the bottom nut with pliers and turn top screw to get that extra turn to snug up. if you notice it getting loose tighten it up again before it breaks .Best to have a large flat screwdriver
