Artillery has a long history. The first documented record of artillery with gunpowder propellent used on the battlefield is on January 28, 1132 when General Han Shizhong of the Song Dynasty used escalade and Huochong to capture a city in Fujian.

each and every of the above were used in international conflict One. All in spite of the indisputable fact that the airplane were tried (in a unmarried style or yet another) earlier to WW I. Aerial recognizing were used as as some distance back because the 1860's, by tethered balloons, to regulate artillery hearth, and keep song of enemy unit movements. wsulliva

B Artillery. Cannons or artillery pieces have in some form or another been in Use since the discovery of the process to make gun powder about 600 years ago!!!!!!

artillery and submarines were both in use long before wwi; artillery since the middle-ages and submarines since the american civil war.
the germans hadn't used submarines offensively before wwi, so i suppose you could say a u-boat was a wwi weapon; if you think a german submarine is somehow different from a regular submarine.
i think this is a silly question.
