Clearly "D" - Guaranteed correct.

That was the essence of the German "Schlieffen Plan" adopted in 1905, a decade before the war even started. Six weeks to defeat France - then move the armies by train to the eastern front and defeat the Russians who would be slow to mobilize.
I teach this every semester.

Read the ******* textbook. It takes longer to post on Yahoo than just open up the book and turn to the few pages on the origins of WW I.
