All you need to do is read the man's records. How can you possibly think about the term "overrated " if you are even remotely aware of Gretzky's accomplishments. Think harder before you ask a question next time .

Are you high? Gretzky holds virtually every NHL record, won four - count them, FOUR - Stanley Cups, and is considered the greatest hockey player ever. I do think, however, that he could be rightfully criticized for his coaching in Phoenix, a team that he also is part-owner of.

As a longtime Kings fan (since he started playing for L.A.), I think he has a bit of an ego. It's quite noticable in his interviews as well as in his autobiography. To answer your question, probably not. Even though he hasn't brought the Stanley Cup to L.A., he should still be given credit for launching hockey interest not only in California but in the U.S. as well.

As a player, HELL NO!!! As a coach, HELL YES!!! Great instinctive players don't make good coaches because they can't coach what they did on instinct. They don't know WHY they did what they did, they just know they did it. The best coaches are the ones who had to THINK about how they had to work and do just to be competitive with more talented players.

hey jude i was just wondering if u were dropped on your head as a baby. From the questions you ask and answers you give it seems that you know nothing about hockey and have absolutely no respect for the sport.

Nope.

In his case it isn't hype, its called genuine respect because of his genuine talent and the fact that he's a genuinely nice guy (in a difficult situation).

Absolutly NOT when everyone was skating to where the puck was Gretsky was skating to where the puck was going ( to the net) Gretsky knew how to play the game and that is how he scored so many goals
