Any unit you replace it with must carry a similar
rating or you can create a dangerous condition.

for safety. Changing any part of it is not to be

What are you talking about? A fireplace insert is used as an addition to an existing fireplace. You certianly can't remove your fireplace and have a fireplace insert. You need both.
