a person water boarded will say anything to stop it -
your evidence is only as good as the method of collection - don't forget that.
torture is evil - anyone government that supports torture is evil.
i want you to study history and the genva convention - i want you to be familiar with our part is history defeating a country we have become - it is important for people to know this if we are ever to reclaim our country.
to even entertain the thought of torture shows how seriously broken our society has become.

the government could. yet then the government could help the U. S. if it proposed the killing of all British first born infants. there's a touch naive doctrine in government circles that if we back the U. S., this is going to back us whilst we've issues. the only flaw with that doctrine is the only time this is been positioned to the try, in the process the Suez disaster, it did no longer paintings. If Iraq, the place eighty%+ adverse the war till now it began, is something to bypass by the human beings won't. in step with hazard the situation is that maximum persons quite see their being a spectrum particularly than "you're the two with us or with terrorists". we don't constantly see that bombing the sh*t out of alternative international places is the superb thank you to % issues. in many circumstances it merely makes concerns worse. i could be vulnerable to trust precision strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as a final motel. despite if, that final motel is an prolonged way off and that i see no reason to bomb cities. The Russians are a turning out to be form of on-factor and that they could leverage so lots greater diplomatic impact against Iran than the U. S. or uk ever can. Bomb Iran, (unilaterally or inspite of uk help) and in case you're no longer very careful, you are able to desire to come across Russia being sucked into the choice factor of a war.

Some people in this country have just turned to jello. No spine whatsoever. Yes I support waterboarding, and using real torture on these sub-human pieces of garbage also. Just when did the left cut off this countries balls anyway?

Of course! Heck, I support it for other potential terrorist acts half way around the world. You can't be nice to these people! Clinton tried that and 9/11 was the result.

I used to think so. But I'm uncomfortable with the way you guys talk about it like it's an easy decision. I think a lot of you have lost touch with reality. Do you really imagine that this scenario will ever present itself? Do you imagine that torturing someone is going to get you what you want? It will get you answers of some sort, but it won't get you truth. Don't be so gullible.

Are there not rules or laws about this in the Geneva Convention, or something similar in context.
One must consider that individual rights, and the right to not be flogged in public squares managed to be implimented in the realm of human rights.
ps: does this bring any laws, rights, or formal papers to mind?

Probably, but I would also want to personally kill someone who harmed my child. But that does not mean it is OK. If you want to live in a civilized country, you should not have a government that acts out the worst instincts of people but one that restrains them.
