Are there enough resources in the world to support the 6.5 billion people on this planet equally? Are some doomed to starvation because there simply isn't enough to go around and you must scrounge for what you have to survive? I am not asking if Communism is plausible. I am asking simply if there is enough to go around to all people of the earth at its current population.

The big problem is who would govern a society with nothing to strive for if we all had equal worth? Most of those governments steal from successful people and create great power for the government officials. It is literally taking resources away from the smartest and giving it to the most incompetent.

currently, yes there are enough resources....but that is quickly changing, and we have no real plan/goal to tend to the current populations' needs. "Would we suffer?" If our resources were divided equally, we would 'suffer' in the same sense of 'suffering' b/c we can't have what we want right when we want it.....but no, on the whole, we would not suffer. We throw away more food and clean water.....that we don't want, while others go hungry and thirsty. There should be more equality, both for the life and health of developing countries and for the future leadership of our own nation. We can't 'save the world' but we can do more than we are doing.

No because there are those who wrisk everything to strive to be at the top of life. The thing is people cant funtion as well as we want to in society. There is enough to go around its a matter of willing to work for it. Im not saying its a good thing but the world without death or starvation would become overpopulated and inthe end there might not be enough recources to go around without everyone panicking on shortages or ownership IE who deserves it who doesnt

I don't believe people should be left naked, starved, cold, and left to die but I don't believe in taking the money away from the rich, middle class, or working class. Like Steve C. said, if we were all of equal worth, then there would be nothing to strive for. Think about it, we would have free health care but no doctors or nurses to care for us.

It is only possible to live happily if the person is self-content to what he gets and work harder to live peaceful life.

If money comes easy than it also will go away very easy.

wealth division is not the answer but meditation and work hard to your goals is the answer. be nice to everyone and the world is with you to get all the happiness.
