No. You can not make something happen because you dreamed it.
I have had a few disturbing dreams. There was a dream about a car accident in a tunnel. I told people that I didn't recognize the car or the people, but it felt as if three people were dead or dying. I was sure it had nothing to do with my family or friends. I also felt that I was supposed to pray for these people, because I was sure it was going to happen.
I can't prove it, but I think it was Diana's accident in Paris.
I dreamed about it 1 week before it happened.
One of my friends had a dream about a landslide. She was sure it was going to happen. One week later, such a thing took place in South America.
If we can dream about bad things, it is a premonition. All we can do is send good thoughts or prayers, if you believe in doing that. We should also be able to dream about good things and neutral things. The whole trick is remembering dreams and only those that we wake from are the ones we recall. And, if you don't jot some notes down about the dream, within a few minutes, you lose details.

try not to take your dreams too literally. sometimes we just have dreams that show we are worried about things, and it's perfectly normal to worry about bad things happening to people close to you. it doesn't mean anything bad will happen. i think that if you really had some kind of psychic awareness you would be able to tell the difference between that and a regular anxiety dream.
