I was struck (well it's called a direct hit) and drs say if I was just a little bit closer, it could of been alot worse. I would like to hear other stories.

not me, but a good pal was... he was on the riding mower at the time.. he'd gone under a tree in the yard for a second! cuz it had started drizzling.. *no storm around*... figgering to wait it out.... lightning struck the tree, jumped to him, traveled thru him, jumped out his heel to the ground... the action threw him off the mower... his injuries included a scar from the necklchain he was wearing and the cross on it.. scars from the belt buckle, button, studs and zipper on his pants, scars from the eyelets of his tennis shoes and a hole in his heel from where the lightning surge jumped off him to the ground..... other than that, he was fine!.... spooked, fer sure, but otherwise okay.....

I've been piloting aircraft that were struck by lightning on several occasions. But if everything is well-bonded it doesn't cause any real damage. However..... It -damn- sure wakes you up and gets your attention right now ☺

No I haven't. But my grandma's garden did once. Lucky for us it didn't go on fire. And who wants to be struck by lightning?!

I got here close as quickly as whilst i grew to become into approximately 10. The lightening got here so close which you're able to have the potential to scent it and the hair stood up on my hands and head. I quite have a solid chum who grew to become into killed by lightening whilst he grew to become into out on the lake and an unpredicted typhoon rolled in.

Fortunately, no. Hopefully, it'll never happen, but I'm glad you survived and are here to tell the tale. What an experience it must have been! =)
