the inventor of the water-lung which predated today's diving gear, the marine biologist, and the man who brought the wonders of the undersea world to millions through his television specials. i had the honor of meeting him when i was in the navy.... i am also a lifetime member of the Cousteau society

The funniest thing I ever heard anybody say on TV was when good ol' Jacques asked a scientist if female octopuses had orgasms or if they were just a tool for the males.That was so typically French.

Yeah, but then I am old too. Isn't he that guy that was on television who was famous for his work with the ocean and aquatic animals? "The underwater world of.....Jacques Cousteau".

I`m 76 and I know about Costeau. As a matter of fact I have been underwater in the old fashioned helmet and air pump system.

No you are not to old, sweetie! I used to watch his show every chance I got. So much to learn & the wonders to see from such a beautiful world that he got to explore. I am unable to deep sea dive because of my epilepsy, so he was able to take me where I can't go :o) May God rest his soul.

Yeah, he's the guy that invented the scuba(self contained underwater breathing apparatus)gear and was an ocean explorer. His boats name is Calypso....

I believe he died and his son has taken over his work. He is/was the greatest marine biologist ever was. He not only was great but he loved his work. I am 59!

L'equipe Cousteau- the show.....the French deep sea/ocean divers/explorers. i was sso scared when he died as always..
was one of my moms fav.
