does it really matter whose gay?
I still don't get the fascination with people's sexuality!
It doesn't and should not matter who sleeps with whom as long as they are good human beings and are good tennis players who can conduct themselves in a respectful way on the tennis court when facing their opponents;the umpire;line judges and the crowd.
I couldn't care less whose gay;it's so childish!

On the ATP, there are only rumors. There is not one openly gay male tennis player on the tour right now and the only ones of note in history are Bill Tilden, the dominant American of the 1920s and Gottfried von Cramm (I'm sure he heard all the jokes), a great player from the 30's. They were both shunned during their lives because of their sexuality.
It's more common to see openly gay athletes on the women's side. Historically, of course, there were Martina Navratilova Billie Jean King and Helen Jacobs, but more recently there are 2-time slam winner Amelie Mauresmo, Rennae Stubbs (holder of 6 grand slam doubles titles) and Lisa Raymond, the owner of 63 doubles titles (and 4 singles), including 5 grand slams.
Hope that answered your question.

On the men's ATP tour, there's noone I know for certain. Currently, Amelie Mauresmo is the only women's player I know. Navratilova is the other one.

Many women on the tour are gay. I know 3 girls where I play that are pro's and they are openly gay. You just don't hear about them because they are not in the top ten.
